Hello Iphone users,
Tired of hearing the basic ringtones offered in your Iphone? Cursing the IOS team? Don’t waste your time in that. Its time to make your ringtone and use it. “Will it cost?” The answer is “Absolutely NOT”. Just do the following steps and you are done.
You can use any audio cutters/ converters to do this, but you need the itunes to upload that tone to your mobile.
Iphones accept ringtones of length 30 seconds(I tested it with 29 seconds. So pardon me if it don’t work for 30). Also the format that is accepted for the ringtone is m4r.
You can use any cutters or you can use itunes to do that for you. Do the following if you are using itunes to create the ringtone:
- Import the song/tune you want to use as the ringtone of your mobile.
- Right click the song and click “Get info”
- Goto “options” tab on the top and set the stop time as 0:30:00 and click “ok”
- Now Right click the song and select “Create ACC version”
- Now, you will get another ACC file created.
- Find the location of that file. It will be of m4a format with 30 seconds.
- Copy it to a new location and change the extension from m4a to m4r
- Scroll the m4r tone to the itunes.
- Connect your Iphone and goto the “ringtones” tab
- Synchronize the device and enjoy the new ringtone.
